My resolve for the rest of the year is to overcome my discomfort of making a spectacle of myself by taking more photos of myself next to my paintings. A few years ago, I decided that I wanted to live my life as authentically as I can; doing only the things that are in alignment with my true self and a big part of that was shifting careers. Since I was little I’ve always known I was born to create, but a creative life was just too daunting to pursue so for years I had put those dreams on pause and took on a more “practical” career. There are days when I ask myself if I did the right thing diving head first into an industry I knew nothing about—with no one to mentor nor guide me. The waters were too murky to wade through and yet I did it anyway. There are days when the fear of the unknown since creeps up on me and today was one of those days. But this afternoon I decided to look back and allow myself to feel gratitude for all the things that’s happened since I decided to become a full-time creative. I thought I’d share this journey to those who may be feeling the same way.

4. Sold out three days after the first launch and kept selling out several collections since then 🥹
5. My first group exhibition 3 months into painting. 😌
6. Getting my own little studio
7. Receiving all sorts of love from my collectors
8. Making bigger and bigger pieces
9. - 11. Getting featured in magazines
12. - 16. Having my first solo
17. We’re now on our way to our first art residency in France next year. 🥹
18. This is for you, my anxious little dude.
